no.
they were smoked by Golden State with ease.
they obvously don't have the mental toughness they need.
plus, the west will be stronger next year with Oden and Durant coming into it.
I wouldn't expect the Blazers to become a playoff threat immediately, but you never know with Roy and Oden. and Durant+Ray Allen+Rashard Lewis=offensive insanity. they could be a 50 win team next year.
but bottom line, the Mavs put too much pressuse on themselves to win, and it got to them and it turned into a meltdown.
the Mavs need Steve Nash, not Jason Terry at the point. I believe that was thier biggest flaw. they need someone who could feed Dirk, not jack up 3 after 3 wrecklessly.

The Mavericks have lost their danger because they're going to now be scared. They were scared the completed series antagonistic to Golden State because Golden State swept the season series. Plus, the Mavericks could have a decrease seed meaning they could have more advantageous video games at GS in the experience that they connect up again contained in the playoffs. also, they're going to be mentally petrified of Utah, a clean upcoming ability. Coached with the help of Jerry Sloan, this large passing crew is easily one of a form. human beings doubted them because they did not fairly have a scorer. yet, I have by no potential considered the flex run so properly contained in the NBA. The Mavericks in basic terms are not a confusing crew. Avery Johnson remains baffled from what happened. Who is conscious, perchance Charles Barkley will come decrease back to the Mavs to assist them "pound those midgets".

First off I'm a Mavs fan. And Yes, they are going to win the championships next year IF, they can get a better center. Its very simile we will make the playoffs, then thats where Dirk needs to fire up the intensity, and show why he was named MVP. They have a very good chance of winning it though.

I'm as big of Dallas fan as anyone, but I do not think that they will win next year. This year they had a shot. You don't get a lot of opportunities to win a NBA Championship, and I think that the Mavs blew their chance this year.

No doubt. they've got all the main parts they need. Just a couple of tough players to keep everyone focused. A little luck would be nice too. Hopefully no more first round matchup nightmares.

Never as long as they allow a 7 foot foward to shoot 3 pointers instead of rebounding. Nowitski is a joke

No unless they get a new player that is real good at his inside shots because they dont really have any one on that team that is real good at that. All they have is outside shooters and that is how golden state beat em.
