Well Shania Twain's real name is Eileen and she's from a small town in Ontario Canada called Timminis. So I'd say go for it name your daughter after Shania but don't foget the Eileen part. Maybe your daughter will achieve grat things just like Shaina did when she picked that name as her stage name.

You should d owhat you want, but be prepared for EVERYONE to ask you if you named her after Shania. It's a natural question as soon as you hear that name. You will get annoyed after 50 people say.

I love the name. Plus Shania is kind of going out of stardom. I also know someone named Shana.

It isn't a new trend to name babies after celebs. In the 50's and 60's there were babies named Elvis (horrible), then there were the Cher's and Dionne's.
Shania isn't even a pretty name to me.

Just think, I'm sure there are some Oprahs, and some Britneys who have those women to credit for their names.

I don't like the name, but it's your baby.
I've just never liked it.
Give her a common middle name though...or something that will easily balance out that.
