What do you think of wrestling when compared to other sports?

Question

Ok, what I mean is this. Say you have a favorite football team, and on that team, you have a favorite player whom you write his name in lots of things, and have his posters with the team name. Then he changes teams. I have seen that with a buddy of mine when we were in high school. My buddy was so upset with the L. A. Rams for trading off some player, sorry, I forget who. But he threw out all kinds of things, he just hated the Rams after that.

Then I noticed some thing else. In all other sports. every year you would have to change your favorite team, because all the good players would leave for the money.
Who left Florida´s Orlando Basketball team for the money and went to Califorina? he stated, "I was carring the team" Does any one remember how many millions of dollars of memorabilia was throne away? It was all over the news.
One more thing, I got in to trouble for expressing my opinion, "wrestling is cool, Ric Flair is cool" is it ok if i just say, Wrestling is cool?

I have been reading some of the answers. I never said Ric Flair was the coolest of the cool, nor did i intend to imply that he was the best of the best.

take Goldberg for instance, not many people could beat him, Sting did, or would have. Hitman beat him in under five minutes-via "steal plate" i bet he had a head ache when he woke up :)

I am not taking any thing away from Goldberg, not many could get up from the spear and jack hammer :)

There was were a lot of greats in wrestling. just not many had the attitude Ric Flair had.

so, my opinion was, and mainly to the wrestling haters, "Wrestling is Cool, Ric Flair Rules" I did not mean to offend any wrestling fans, so, i was asking if i could say, "Wrestling is Cool" with out getting in to trouble.

as you can see, there is more than one part to this question.

Wrestling is Cool, its better than most sports, and it is a sport because it is physically demanding like other sports. I can´t think of any other sport that gets your blood pumping like wrestling does, unless you have a lot of money riding on it.

Pro wrestling is right up there with other sports as far as creativity,excitement, intensity,drama etc. Wrestlers get hurt like other athletes too. It doesn't matter if it's predetermined, the athletes/performers still have to put on a good show and keep us fans into the matches. It's way more exciting than the olympic/highschool stuff. It's entertainment! What do folks want things to go back to Roamn times where fighting events had Gladiators killed for real? I'm cool knowing that HBK and Orton will be there each week.

Ever since i was a little kid, I have always been a fan of wrestling. I love the entrance Music, the pyrotechnics, the girls, the insanly buff wrestlers. Wrestling is cool. There is a great level of entertainment when you watch wrestling. (more when you are at a live show) Ric Flair is cool

Wrestling is set apart from many sports. I don't really classify it as a sport. I think of it in it's own category. "Smack-Down" or just plain wrestling.

i've been watching wrestling for 21 years and to this day I get made fun of and for 21 years I couldn't give a s#it. First off its a free country. Freedom of speech. Second, don't ever be afraid to voice your opinion about wrestling. As far as comparing it to other sports go, I don't give a damn if the Michigan Wolverines are playing in the national title game, I don't care if the Detroit Pistons are in the NBA Finals, I don't care if the Green Bay Packers are playing in the Superbowl, (this will never happen but) I don't care if the Chicago Cubs are playing in the World Series, if wrestling is on at the same time, I'm picking wrestling 100%. Nothing comes before wrestling in my life, thats just the way it is for me. I tell my wife all the time that wrestling has been in my life a lot longer than you.

Bret was once all talent? He had the whole lot you indexed on there! The handiest intent he left the Pro Wrestling biz is bc he took too many blows to the pinnacle for it. He was once a first-rate heel, he continuously pissed of the group and he was once an remarkable face so that is showman and mic capabilities. He's a 6 time international champ along side IC, US, and Tag champion in each businesses and on countless instances. His wrestling capabilities are unparraled(besides for Angle). He was once so truly within the ring he did not must crack jokes to get persons to like him. I'm sorry to speak bout Bret although you stated to not cuz it's your Q however I can not stand it whilst persons unfairly disrespect the first-rate ever within the biz. Other than Bret, the first-rate is the Undertaker. I might have stated the Rock cuz I cherished him however he certainly did not ooze willpower to the biz seeing as how he did it for six yrs and at his bodily peek, he is appearing. The Taker's acquired the capabilities, titles, enjoy and aura bc no longer too many persons can pull off a deadman gimmick w/out watching dumb, permit by myself watching cool as hell. I might say footbal cuz all of it occurs so speedy and also you must gain knowledge of the playbook, along side retaining up together with your competitors trends, even as whilst retaining of their first-rate form, to not point out remembering your fundamental procedure

It's a joke because we all know it is rigged, but it's still a cool joke, and Nature Boy Ric Flair is the coolest of the cool. I'd love to see Ric be Grand Marshall at a NASCAR race and say, "Gentlemen, start your engines, WOOOOOOOO !!!!!"

i think its good because no other sport has people go in and know theyre gonna get beat up bad, weather its with weapons, or jsut a regular match. all the other people do it for money, not wrestlers they do it to entertain, and get hurtm on purpose, and get paid only 1-2 milllion a year, while some other sprts players get paid 25 million.

I think that Wrestling owns all other sports because WWE is entertainment and entertains u. but real sports like Football and UFC and Tennis are all the same thing all the time. when you tune in to tennis you know what your gonna see,but when u tune into WWE you have no idea what your gonna see because its pre-planned to make it entertaining and different each time u watch it. WWE OWNS ALL OTHER SPORTS.

Wrestling is the best sport because its most funnest. Its not about running and balls. Its all about moves, matches, powerful men and women, storylines, and PPVs. Theres alot more that meets the eye in this sport.

ok first of all i agree with you about football, but Ric flair is not the coolest in the game......Triple H is and when he gets back he is going to win everything.........Yes wrestling is better than most sports!!
