They are still popular but not as popular as they used to be. Some people just keep buying them so they can have a collection of them. They will be worth something someday.

That depends on whether or not you have the Original Nine beanie babies. the Original Nine include:
Legs the Frog, Squealer the Pig, Brownie the Bear ( later renamed to Cubbie the Bear), Flash the Dolphin, Splash the Whale, Patti the Platypus (magenta), Chocolate the Moose, Spot the Dog and Pinchers the Lobster

yes but once you hit about 9 or 10 than i think you can live without them but for me i was 9 and i am now 10 and i still like them in my room (only the cute ones) just on some shelves and i i still sleep with 3 of them but i have outgrown barbies and things like that and i dont play with them but at ANY age its okay too have them in your room

I think they have slacked of Majorly! I remember when people stood in lines for hours to get them!! I have a couple that I keep thinking of getting rid of. I just haven't done it yet. I think they were too mass produced to really be collectables....Unless you just want them for their snuggle or cute factor. :)

Yep, I still collect them. They come out with some really pretty ones and some really cute ones still - so my collection is forever growing. :-)
