I think I'm reading your question different from everyone else. Sure, you can't actually 'be' Harry Potter and you can't really do magic, but I think you are looking at something else here that isn't so literal.
If I am correct, I would have to say be yourself and just rise to the occassion. That is what Harry does in his books. He doesn't try to be someone else. He never changes that. He also does what he thinks is right when it arises. Of course, he's human (so to speak). He makes mistakes, but he moves on.
But I would have to say that you should strive to be more than Harry Potter. Harry is kind of thrown into a position that he just has to rise to the occassion. Most people don't have that opportunity handed to them. Instead, we have to take the initiative to find the causes that are near and dear to our hearts and fight for them.
This might mean just getting the word out. Kind of like Harry did by telling that reporter what really happened in the graveyard. Al Gore did this by making a movie. Some comedians did this by creating Comic Relief. Of course, your efforts don't have to be so dramatic. I have found that generally, people do care...they are just not presented with the facts or the subject isn't brought to their attention very much.
Don't be afraid to talk to your friends and others you know. Teaching them what you know about a cause. This is like Harry teaching his friends how to defend themselves. Knowledge gives power to a cause.
These are just a few things you can do, but I had to say something after seeing your other responses. I saw a different question in your wording than they apparently did.

As easy 2 become everyone else, fictional or real person. Everything is in your mind, and given the fact that we live in a democratic country, you have the right to name and describe your self as you want. If you want to be Harry Potter, the you are Harry Potter. I wish you will not die at the end of the last book.

Just so we're all on the same page, here...
Harry Potter is a fictional character. The magic, flying on a broom, even the lightningbolt-shaped scar... all were made up by a very talented writer named J.K. Rowling.
You can't "become" Harry Potter any more than you can "become" Luke Skywalker.

I do not believe there is any way to "become" Harry Potter. Harry is a fictional character after all. It is commenable to be a good friend, brave, caring, etc., the good traits in his character, though.

No I don't think it is as easy as it sounds. When I was watching Chronicles Of Narnia Special Features (Disc 2) the characters went through 2 years of auditions.

Errr...you can't become Harry Potter...literally. But then again, do you mean that you want to HELP people? That would seem to make more sense. Good luck with your goals...
