Does anyone have a Kia Sorento? I have one and when I shift the auto trans. into R or D it is making a rather loud "clank" type noise.... is that just something this particular manufacturers vehicles do..??? or should I have it checked out?

Yes, take it to the junkyard...you'll find tha last don's brain in the back of a 2006 Chevy Silverado that had to be pushed there!_!
To answer your question, damn right you better have that issue checked out today! That type of sound is not typical of any vehicle that is functioning correctly. You better call a transmission place or the dealer before you drive again.

Your kia has a 10 year 100,000 mile power train warranty. take it to a dealer. It maybe something simple like loose mount or more serious better have it checked out. The dealer will always give you an estimate to fix something before doing so. You can then deside if you want them or someone else to do the work.
