At a certain age...puberty, specifically...the opposite sex takes on far more importance. Therefore, they are a distraction. As well, both genders will be more concerned about looking foolish in class to the opposite sex.
I don't know that separating them is the answer...as we need to learn to get over these insecurities. The real world is a blend of both genders, and if we separate them, they will never learn to become confident in their abilities in the face of potential criticism or embarassment...

No, it wouldn't.
Because the whole seperation is because of the different interest boys and girls have. But the thing is, is that not all girls have the same interest and not all boys have the same interest. Like, if I'm in an all girl class, and they use examples related to girls, well I'll get a little bored because I'm not interested in many girl things.
Another reason, is the flirting. Well, it's the students fault for not paying attention just because that person thinks that person is cute and wants to flirt with that person.

Probably not. If you think about it, girls tend to be talkers, THERE IS just so much that has to be talked about! And guys, well, they're talkers too. The girls would talk about there guy issues and the guys would talk about the game, hot girls and awesome cars. It is good to have the interaction that girls and boys have. In the real world, men and women have to deal with each other all the time. Why not get them ready sooner? They need to know the proper ways to deal with people of the opposite sex.

it may in many situations be genuine, yet i've got on no account experienced it. individually, i do no longer think of gender separated instructions are a stable thought. scholars don't get to mingle with and comprehend the different gender, so they proceed to be ever ignorant. they convey the dislike for the different gender (created with the help of stupid fights inelementary college little doubt) into adulthood, and from then on it is perplexing to alter. (i think of Stephanie factors that out excellently) All instructions in my college are gender separated. while there is no instructor, even the instructions of the 17 twelve months-olds become semi-conflict-zones. the girls and boys in basic terms hate one yet another. thankfully, I landed in a great type with a great instructor. in basic terms the day gone by, he desperate to talk to the critical and won permission to blend up the girls and boys. no longer in basic terms did the classification become quiter and extra severe, the ambience became friendlier. i'm now no longer shy of interacting with the different gender.

I'm not sure. I went to Catholic school and had some classes with just girls and I liked it and we did a lot more talking with the teachers than we did in classes with boys. My son now says he likes having girls in his classes, especially in science and math, because he says the girls are smarter than the boys and when they have to be in a group for projects he always goes with the girls. They help him understand the assignment better and he gets better grades when he works with girls then boys.

If such a system were implemented at a young age, children would get the idea that the genders should be segregated. We should be encouraging harmony, but with an appropriate level of respect.

Personally, I would hate that!!!
I've always enjoyed having (intelligent) men in a class with me, in high school and college. And I've never shirked from an outright debate with one of them, never mind just answering questions. Mind... those debates often did turn flirtatious after class.

Girls tend to act terrible without males. They talk too much, fight like boys, group up, and have short attention spans.
