The chronicles of Narnia ( The lion , the witch and the wardrop) and The Lord of the Rings ( the first one ) Dont you think that there are very much similarities between them.

For example in both movies they are fighting against the evil , in both movies Aslan / Gandulff we all think that they are dead and then they both appear with a new army behind them

there is a website that compares both movies
when i watched narnia, it thought the same
because they both have the same genre
don't foret the effect of LOTR maybe narnia wanted to create the same effect!

narnia had many of the elements of the fantasy genre - its just typical generic conventions coupled with the same promotional tactics based on the economicle imperitive
