Im an 18 yr old male and i have a small/fair size lump in my right breast. It hurts abit to touch. I eventually went to the doctors after about two years and he said it could be a hormonal thing or something. I had two blood tests. I rang up to find out the results and the receptionist said they were fine. Thats all ive heard since. So i still dont know what it is and how do i get rid off it? Hope someone can help.

Call your doctor back, silly!

If you don't understand what happened (and the receptionist shouldn't be the person giving you medical news anyway), then call them back and ask your doctor to call you and explain.

Simple as that!

If it has been two years since the last time you went to the doctor and its still there and still hurts when you touch it then you should go back to the doctors for a second opinion and make sure you go to a different doctor then the one went to the first time. This doesn't sound normal to me and should be looked at until you find out exactly what it is. Men can get breast cancer so don't wait too long to have this checked out.

Men get breast tumors also!! i was close to your age when i had found on my own my first breast lump. small hard pea sized lump. yes it hurt a tiny bit. went to my dr. and turned out after having it removed that it was a cyst binign one. a few years later i had a 2nd one on my other breast. this one was bigger. turned out to be the same thing. they do go away that kind.
im susceptable to cancer highly! due to a drug made over 40 yrs ago to prevent miscarriages. turns out later on they found out that it can cause cancer. my dad who suffered 2 rounds of cancer volunteered at the Dorothy Morgan Cancer center brought me home a self breast exam kit for me to learn what exactly to feel for.
breast examination and around the chest area up into the armpit area, at home is the #1 way in finding and preventing it.
few years ago I was told i had 2 more in my right breast. Since they refused to send me for a mamogram despite my history i kept an eye on them myself. turned out they did go away on their own eventually.
I no longer feel them myself. there are lots of sites that can help you on breast cancer prevention on women AND men. they talk about lumps and how to find them. i was told the ones that move and have some discomfort are the ones that you dont worry about. its those that are hard and non movable without any pain that you be concerned about. if it does not go away and starts to get bigger then tell the dr. you want it removed and biopsied.
Your blood work count would be off if it was cancer. Now since you are man and breast tumors already have been noted by doctors it could also be no more then just a fatty tumor. Which is genetically inherited through a gene.

Go back to the doctor, it probably is fine if the receptionist said so but you still need ro find out what it is.

If the lump is tender and causes pain, go get a second opinion.
It may indeed be nothing, but "nothing to worry about" is
countraindicated by the pain.

go see a surgeon. lumps in breasts deserve thorough investigation, though most dont turn out to be anything of interest.
