Yes, but it is what they deserve from you.
It is a saying from way back and by a SciFi author, that when it becomes time for your trusty dog to be put down, don't give the job to someone else. Your dog deserves to look into your eyes one last time to say thank you, before you put him down.
Sure it hurts. But, you do it because they've earned to get it from you, not some stranger. It's about doing the right thing. It builds your character. And, developes your personality.

Sometimes....it depends on what i´ve decided....but yes, even if the decision was something good for the both of us...looking into someone´s eyes after something big has been said, is always nerve-wreckingly intimidating.....
