To me, she isn't very good looking and she's always changing her sound....most times with digital remixing....why is she relevant? She has gotten along with nominal talent for years.....but I do have to hand it to her manager or publicist....very smart people.

It is because she still has an avid fan bases from when she was popular 20 years ago in the 80'so that pay big bucks to go to her current concerts to try to re-live their youths.
She was popular originally not so much because of her talent, but because she was constantly reinventing herself and invoked controversy to get free media attention, which pre-teens through young adults in that era could relate to as they were still trying to find their true selves and identified her as a champion of the cause.
She hasn't had a hit song in overe a decade or more; if it weren't for her die hard fan base, she would be a has-been.

I don't really know because, like you, I don't think she is that great looking and I don't recall any top hits she's had out for a while. I often wonder why she's in the spotlight, too. Just like Angelina Jolie....why is she is constantly on the cover of magazines because of her adopting foreign children? Lots of people do it all the time...why is it so special for her? I am actually sick of hearing about her!

I never really liked her either. i used to love some of her old songs but now I think they all sound kinda weird.
I guess its coz she's still pretty, still got her voice and still rich!
