Once in an interview, the
famous Ex-municipal commissioner of Bombay , Mr. Tinaikar, had a point to make. 'Rich people's dogs are walked on the
streets to leave their affluent droppings all over the place,' he said. 'And then the same people turn around to criticize and blame the authorities for inefficiency and dirty pavements. What do they expect the officers to do? Go down with a broom every time their dog feels the pressure in his bowels?

In America every dog owner has to clean up after his pet has done the job. Same in Japan ..
an indian citizen will not do this.... and i dont understand why..?

Dear nidz it does not really matter, whoever i am.
If you have taken this question from the seech of MR.Kalam it really doesnt make any difference.I have never stated that you have anything against Indian citizens, and neither did I intend to,if u felt that way then Its a misunderstanding. If I said that you were against Indian citizens, then I should have also said about all the other millions across the globe who have same question in their mind as yours.I really appreciate the fact that you have stood to ask the question atleast which other people dont even bother to do,leave alone the fact to work towards its betterment.

Theoritical answers are easy to give and it is easier to ask theoritical questions.
Whatever Mr.Tinaikar has said may have some point and i agree to it,but you should have better quoted the words of the commisioner of dog pounds of India too.How many people in India do you think can even afford to keep a dog and take proper care of it in respect to US and other countries, dont you think those droppings are created about 90%my stray dogs over the country than pet dogs.In an average any city in India has an population of 25,00,00 stray dogs in the city.America and other countries stated by you,too seem very clean just like the streets outside the parliament in our country, and the road outside the Victoria memorial is equally clean as the roads of the clean foreign countries which are usually visible to us.But please dont stay in this misconception that Foreign countries are speak and span clean, those cleanliness are only for official records.I myself have stayed in New York for 7 years, and rarely have visited a site as clean as the once shown in the hollywood movies.Just visit the allies of new york city for once and your whole conception will change. There is no difference there between the lives of the street dogs and the tramps. And besides please dont use that word INDIAN CITIZEN,coz for the additional information our country is composed of about 35-45% of refugees from neighbouring countries, who dont even hold a voters card.Who have to a major extent have ahand behind this exhausion of India streets.

Because there is no law that requires people to clean after their pets and even if there was one nobody is going to challan or prosecute the pet owner. In America there are laws and they will be enforced and Indians along with others will follow them.

The ex-municipal commissioner of Bombay just wants to abdicate his responsibility to make rules and enforce them.

we indian have many merits e.g.
we are plain and simple.
we criticize ur system easily.
we can adopt other culture,s bad thing very fast but reluctant to adopt good ones
e.g. we are adopting the nudeness dress codes of west very fast,if someone points finger on that many activists start crying about ur basics ,ur complex.(T.V. serials)but when u ask them as usaid to clean up pet's potty they will again say no it is not ur job for this we are paying tax to government.u know people chew bettles pan parag etc and spits here & there asif it is their birth right.
frankly speaking we donot have fear of governance.we are misusing ur democratic powers fou ur petty and silly reasons.we can sacrifice ur life for caste/religon reservation but not for cleanliness of country.indian railway is the best example for this.u can see many travellers throwing their garbages on floor.if u object just feel th punch.irony is the same indian behave very differently in foreign countries.so what to conclude
ur slavery nature still with us.we are slave of ur castes, religion ....
we lack national discipline.many of my learned freind will disagree with this.i also want to disagree but fact is fact.
