Patient (without showing you are trying to be patient), attention, answer all the questions, dont get impatient if you get asked a million questions or if someone wants to contradict you, care for people, know what to do in dangerous circumstances, protect the group of tourists.

Warm, friendly, patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and have a good sense of humor. One tour that I was on, the Tour Guide, would have made a good dictator. From what the group said, toward the end, I know he lost his tip money, in many cases.
