I have a 2007 Fleer Jason Marquis card that has the cubs emblem on it, but he is pictured in a cardinals uniform. Not only would any die hard cubs fan say this is a big No No, but it doesn't even state on the back of the card that he is with the cubs, it speaks about the cardinals. The only way you know it's his cubs card is because of the Cubs emblem on the front and back of the card. Misprint? or Fleer's way of trying to tick off Die Hard cubs fans?

It isn't a misprint. It's unusual, but not all that uncommon, actually. It happens when the card makers issue their earliest cards of the season of players who have just switched teams. The reason it says nothing of Marquis as a Cub is because when the card was issued, he hadn't done anything for the Cubs. He had signed with the Cubs, but hadn't actually played for them yet. As for the uniform, Fleer didn't have a current photograph and used the previous year's photograph for the card.

He was with the Chicago Cubs before going over to the St. Louis Cardinals. So it is not a misprint. What certain card production companies do is make the card either before, during or just after the move and therefore it has 2 teams with it. But since you stated that it is a 2007 baseball card it would say that it is a misprint but could be very valueable to people in the St. louis or chicago area on ebay.

Neither, Jason Marquis spent the 2006 season with the Cardinals however he became a free agent in the off season and was signed by the Cubs, he is currently pitching for the Cubs and is one of the better starters in their rotation, by the way.
So the card must have been printed after he was signed by the Cubs and it reflects he team at that time, look at Jeff Weaver's card it would probably be very similar except that Jeff's card has the Mariner's logo but he would still be in the Card's uni and pitched 2006 for the Cards.

He's on the Cubs, but they used a picture fom last year when he was on the Cards. And the stats that are on the back of the card would be his stats with the Cards.

The Fleer brand is now owned by Upper Deck, so I guarantee that's what is generally known in the business world as a "screwup".

If there was a patent on screwing up, UD would co-own it with Topps.
