In System preferences, under Internet & Network, click on Sharing and, as Administrator, Start the "Windows Sharing" service. Then, click the Accounts Button and choose which user files to share and click Done.
On the first Sharing screen, you will see something like this:
Windows users can access your computer at \\192.168.2.4\john
so type it into your browser on the Windows PC to share the MAC files.

plug it into the network.
it wont appear on the windows network as its not a windows based pc although if you have a usb hard driveor printer plugged into your print serve/router both windows based pc's and the apple should be able to see and add remove data from the drive or share the printer.
