A woman president. The USA is broken and battered right now, all out of sorts. Women are typically mothers, and so I think we could use one, to put us on a band-aid and get us back up on our feet.

Ask the British about Lady Margaret Thatcher, or the Israelis about Golda Meir.
There are plenty of examples in recent history about women leading countries in times of crisis, and many have done very, very well.
The question is a bit loaded, and polls have shown this. I saw a poll about maybe a year ago that said that a majority of Americans say they would vote for a woman for president, but no woman listed in the poll received a majority. While they are out there, most people don't have an adversion to electing a woman or a minority to president. You just have to be the right person. Up until now, do you know what group the American people have been least likely to vote for in a presidential election? A white man. There have been 43 presidents since the founding of this country. There have been more than 43 people running for president in the past 20 years, most of them being white males. While 100% of the presidents have been white males, the largest group of people that have lost the presidential election has been....
white males.

Honestly, I think a woman is more than capable of doing a good job as President. Could it happen? Yes. Will it happen? That remains to be seen. Should it happen with the current female candidate? I'm not real sure yet - but she did a decent job last time she was running the country! LOL.
Seriously though, I need to study up a bit more on her platforms, voting records, etc. - just as I need to for all the other candidates who will be involved. Gender shouldn't be the deciding factor for our votes.

Sure... if you could find one that the people could actually rally behind.
Hillery is a carpet bagger and, except for NY State, should will not have a chance. If she were to get the nod, she would fail to get elected.
To be fair.... there is not a viable candidate in either camp right now. No one to get on board with. No one that really has a plan or the guts to stop repeating the same talking points and come up with fresh answers.

I am really getting tired of this question. It totally depends on who the woman is. It is like saying "what do you think about a man for president?". It totally depends on what man you are talking about. There are no women running for president at this time that are even slightly qualified for the job.
Give me a Margret Thacher or a Jean Kirkpatrick and I will campaign for her.

Think it would be sooo cool if Hillary wins. Just imagine the headache they'd have in what to call Bill. "First Lady" is out, "Mr and Mrs President" nah. Sounds like you have a whole new question you could ask. "What would Bill Clinton's title be if Hillary became President?"

I think it could happen. Presidents should be chosen by qualification and issues, not gendr, race, religion, etc. I'd vote for a female if I liked her politics, period.

My theory - by the time a woman rises that high politically she will be just as mean nasty and cutthroat as all the men already in power and she'll do just fine.
