Me and my boyfriend have decided to have sex, its my first time, but I just wonder is it really safe to use a condom so that I dont get pregnant or how safe is it???

It's about 99% safe. However the more things that you use to prevent pregnancy, the safer that you will be.

it's 99% effective. It's rare to get pregnant while using a condom unless there's a hole in the condom.

It is safe if used properly & carefully.Accidents do occur at times and we should avoid using very old ones.They might tear because latex tend to become weak after prolonged period

I would add some contraceptive film to that condom. My third child is the result of a condom mishap (even though I wouldn't trade him for ANYTHING!!!!)

Safer then without. Accidents happen, and it has to be used right........... If i were you I would go to planned parenthood, and see the pill or the shot. that way your odds are way better that you will not get pregnant.
