We don't see ourselves in the mirror the way other see us, but some people see themselves grossly different than their true image. If you suffer from BDD you probable fall into the category of those that see themselves grossly different then the outside world. Learn to love yourself and the person in the mirror.

I suppose there could be plenty of reasons why you feel this way (I am no psychologist), but the first thing that popped into my head when I read your question is that you are paranoid, and take too much time worrying about how you are perceived by other people. I would say to you that everyone is different and the beautiful people that we see on TV and on magazines are not normal everyday people like us. Look inside yourself and you will know if you have a good heart and that is was matters, take pride in yourself and hold your head up high.
And those that don't have a good heart and take pleasure in causing pain well they deserve to look in the mirror and feel ugly.

We rarely see ourselves as others see us, I think. We are also the most critical of ourselves and tend to pick ourselves apart and focus on the negative instead of our positive assets. Yes, I'm sure it is intensified by your OCD and BDD. Don't be so hard on yourself. Try to focus more on the good things about you.

As for me , I see myself normal in the mirror and sometimes goodlooking but in the photos I usually see myself ugly, that's why I don't like to be taken in photos. Look at my avatar , it's a photo , I made it like that because I find myself ugly in it , I don't like it. However I think it's normal , because we humans are never satisfied , we always ask for more.

well when i look in the mirror sometimes i really don't like what i see...but other times i just accept who i am.
i think you are just insecure and don't see yourself the way others do.
next time you see yourself, point out the features of yourself you like. such as your hair, your nose, your eyes, you lips, your teeth, your ears, etc. it will help you gain self confidence and you will slowly start to become sure of yourself.

You're just unique, bruh, like the rest of us. Being different isn't bizarre, strange or weird. It's just different. Love yourself for being the only YOU out there.

Sounds weird but my thoughts are most people won't truly understand you-but there is your chosen one. The uniqueness about you will truly hold power then.
