My church is getting a new piano, and getting rid of the old one. So I want to buy it. I'm wondering how much it's worth?

It's an upright, but it seems smaller/shorter than a regular upright. It's wooden, I cant remember the brand name, but it's not like a well known one (ie, it's not a yamaha).

I would ask for a local expert on pianos, not for the price but the suitability of this piano in your church.
Pianos have notorious needs for dryness, especially wooden ones. WIll it warp in your church where you will leave it in the next 5 to 10 years?. What is the constant source of heat there during the winter months, Is it against a wall .
It might be best to buy a more expensive newer ( as in built in the 80s or 90's piano than old wood(30s to 70s)

Hi

If it is a digital piano, then you can get it much cheaper, depending on the model, as digital instruments tend to lose value over time. But if it is an acoustic piano and well maintained then the value does not drop a lot. In any case, browse on the net to find out how to examine a used piano and if possible find some knowledgeable person whom you can take along to examine the piano.
