WHich one is better taking nature, things to do, affordable real estate, job market, progressive thinking, etc?

I want to move out of state and these are the top two. I need to make a decision soon....

I grew up in Raleigh and now live in Atlanta. I hated the politics in NC, but much of that has changed since the 80's & 90's. Atlanta has terrible traffic and prices inside the perimeter are through the roof for housing. Raleigh still has a bit of the home town feeling and there are area's outside of town to get a decent size house and some land - without a huge commute. I drive 15 miles to work and in the AM it takes me over 45 minutes (in ATL) and home at night is usually an hour.
Although - I wouldlook at the job markets and which offers more resources in your field.
Good luck!
BTW I choose Raleigh.

Raleigh, NC- I have a friend that lives there and she loves it. She used to live in Atlanta and enjoys visiting Atlanta but it is not a place to call home.

I would choose N. Carolina over Georgia.Much prettier and air is fresher.I lived in High Point for a short time and it was beautiful and the people are friendly.

I work in the ATL every day. It's nasty and full of crime. Go to Raleigh.
