1. first prioritize things
2. have time management-balance your time
3. make sure you are relaxed
4. have an advanced study of the lesson your teacher might tackle too
5. do not take assignments in a hurry, analyze it step by step
6. if you think you can't do it alone, ask friends
7. as much as possible, answer the easy ones first and hard ones later
8. if you can't find the answer, try using reference books or encyclopedias
9. ask parental help if need

Take your homework and set it out with needed supplies and books on a large table or bed. Then tackle each subject for 30 minutes, add 5 min break, then do next subject in row etc. That way you won't 'let slide' one entire subject.
And it keeps your brain from overloading on one subject for hours.

If you have big projects (research papers, posters, etc.) divide them up into sections on a single piece of paper. Such as selection of topic, basic research (internet, print out articles), read and take notes, rough draft, etc.
Then working backwards from due date schedule the work on a calendar.
Make sure to add one day blank before the due date to add final touches, print out etc.

take rests. dont take any sugary stuff like drink or junk food because that makes you more tired, dull. and sleepy. The best thing to do is drink water or fruits that will refresh your brain. If you dont understand the homework i guess you ask for help.

dont allow them to pile up....if it has already reached the rooftop,take a day off from school n catch up on ur homeworks.
