well in my opinion, everything that makes you happy is worth celebrating........
birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, successful graduation, or new beginnings, new house...
the birth of a baby,
return from a long trip as well, farewell celebrations...
so many things really

Why the big thing about celebrating birthdays? Getting older is just one step nearer to eternity! Always thought it should be present giving to one's mother on one's birthday - she went through the anguish and pain after all! She should be pampered for just that! Celebrate her!

Passing a driving test, especially first time.
Passing any exam.
