different cultures' individual definition of a witch vary, but let's assume you're talking about the witch hunts of old: Most of those witches that were burnt at the stake and tortured weren't even the real thing, the genuine wiccae went into hiding because they knew better. The church wanted to take peoples land and what better way to justifiably be rid of them than to accuse them of witchcraft! Yes witches do really exist but to just say they exist, is oversimplifying it. Witch means wise one and really the subject is most fascinating.

What do you mean by "caught"? You mean hunted? No, no one hunts witches anymore, that was like some-hundreds of years ago. Yes witches exist, I am one of them (not wiccan. I practice the craft of Witchcraft, not the religion of wicca. A Witch is not the definition of Wicca, although some may wish to be called witch.)

What definition of Witch are you using?

My religion is Wicca, I am Wiccan & will accept "Witch" under careful non-bigoted situations.

I do not have green skin, worship the devil or ride broomsticks. I practice a recreation of pre-X-ian Indigenous European spirituality.

Doesn't stop people wanting to tie me to a stake.

No, I have never caught one (never even tried), but I do believe they exist, as I have read about them. Basically, they follow what they call the Old Religion, which is pagan, so they are sometimes called Neo-pagans. Is everything said about them true? Now that I doubt. I don't believe they can mount brooms and fly thru the air. But some of their magic is attributable to psychic power, called "Thought Transference".

A witch by definition is a believer in Wicca. You can find those easily.

Gee, they must be as hard to find as a real Christian.

My wife caught one when she married me, and I hope that they do still exist or I will disappear in a puff of logic.

Wouldn't that upset my wife.

a flying broomstick would be handy, but no, we dont do that. As was stated above We dont have warty noses, or big pots of gurgling green potion. Only sometimes do we dance naked under the full moon...
