i have a lot of deadlines that most times requires me to stay alert for like 15-20hours straight!i can't drink coffee...or any kinds of caffein ,though most people stay awake through them...i usually make sure that the day before i have enough sleep ,so that i won't be tired the next day.i also drink a lot of water and chew a lot of chewing gums...when you drink a lot ,you have to go to the toilet frequently...that makes me stay alert.chewing gum is much better/healthier than to eat/munch on snacks...though the occasional fruits is ok...

My work keeps me busy whole day long, meetings, phone calls, emailings .... preparation of this and that... I work at least 10 hours a day (in next month, I would have to work like at least 13 hours a day!). Takes 1.5 hours for transportation, 1 hour for lunch.

Then... time for YA and some readings. Oh.. yeah.. I need at least 6 to 8 hours sleep too.

I don't drink coffee..., but just warm water. No chewing gum. So, in my case, it is my work only that keep me awake all day long!

If it is a job you love to do, then your adrenaline should be pumping and keeping you in your "zone". I mix between water and powerade. I seldom drink coffee, normally during the colder months. A balanced diet and plenty of sleep will do you wonderful.

Make sure you get eight hours of sleep at night.

I take Melatonin to have a wonderful peaceful nights sleep.

By doing lots of work, enjoy music inbetween work, eat nice and light lunch, drinking plenty of fluids and so forth

provided you dont do it on a daily basis, anything with caffeine will help keep you awake:
1.Coffee
2.Tea
3.Chocolate
4.Coke
