Funny as it sounds, it is true that your body works as an antenna.
You may have noticed that, in house hold devices, when you touch an antenna, the reception gets better on them (for instance - a TV or radio). That's because the human body makes a pretty good antenna.
These objects use a property of the human body known as 'capacitance'. But this property may be true for short-wave frequency devices, but not true for mobile devices as they use a different medium of communication.
You could try it, if it makes you happy, but you may wanna look around if ppl are giving you weird looks :-)
cheers!

yes, there are lots of them that actually work. The chemistry of some very simple ingredients works exactly like "professional" treatments because chemically speaking, they are the exact same ingredients. I hardly ever recommend them to users on here as I have not examined their pet and can't tell if it is something simple or something else that can only be treated by a vet. Since common sense isn't so common any more, I often tell posters to go to the vet. I would rather err on the side of caution than give someone advice that could turn to be harmful because the poster themselves can't tell sh!te from shinola. I mean really- if the questioner is not smart enough to keep their animal inside in the first place then why would I think they could understand instructions on how to lance and clean and dress an infected wound. Besides, I am not even confident that half of them could tell if it was a simple flesh wound or if it was serious. Every time I read one of those questions like "My cat/dog got hit by a car, how do I treat their broken leg,ribs,jaw... at home", I get sick to my stomach... any more, if it isn't something dead simple, I just tell them to get to a vet.

It makes sense. If you've ever tried this it works too...
Unplug your TV aerial... put your finger in the hole in the TV... you become the aeiral and will get a picture (albeit a rubbish one).
Its to do with your body picking up the signals that are all over the air.

I always put my car alarm up to my chin when the battery is dying or has no signal and it always works for me, yea I look really dumb but hey, it works. My cell phone has done it a couple of times when I don't have service, but I always thought it was just luck.

I send a text to myself to boost my signal, I know that works.
Don't know about putting it on your head though...

Possibly. It works with other remotes, it's something to do with your bones acting as amplifiers.
