8x^2 + 11x = 0
Factoring
x(8x+11)=0
x=0
8x+11=0
8x=-11
x=-11/8
Solution set --- (-11/8, 0)

4x^2-2x-3=0
Use the quadratic formula
x=[2±sqrt(4+4*4*3)]/8
=[2±sqrt(52)]/8
=2[1±sqrt(13)]/8
=[1±sqrt(13)]/4

Solution Set --- ([1+sqrt(13)]/4, [1-sqrt(13)]/4)

Question 1
x = [ - 11 ± √121 ] / 16
x = 0, x = - 22 / 16
x = 0 , x = - 11 / 8
Question 2
x = [ 2 ± √52 ] / 8
x = [2 ± 2√13] / 8
x = [1 ± √13] / 4 is acceptable form for answer.

Just use the quadratic formula to solve them. If you don't have the quadratic memorized, you need to.

There are other ways to factor polynomials but the quadratic will solve all polynomials, and after a few tries is very easy. Just remember the number before the x^ is A the number before x is B and the remaining real number is C.
