not very far at all. Recognition is fleeting, here today and replaced tomorrow by someone better, bigger, younger, more well-known with connections, etc. It's not worth trying for cause in the long run it doesn't mean a thing anyway. It's whether you are happy with yourself that matters.

I wouldn't go to any extreme, if i have done anything worthy of recognition then it will surely speak for itself

I wouldn't.
I learned a long time ago that the only person who will consistently recognize me, is going to be myself. My team and I just shoved out some serious work in a week, and it should have taken us 4-6 weeks. No one is going to tell us we did a great job...so, we're telling each other that. (*shrug*) All part of reality.

To no lengths! I spend the majority of my life trying to make myself as invisible as possible. Its amazing how much fun that is.

if i want recognition, im just gonna say OI...some attention please...and that usually works, most times i dont really want or need recogniton.
