I like Concrete Blonde's version of "Everybody Knows" by Leonard Cohen.

And of course Jeff Buckley's version of Cohen's "Hallelujah" is better known than the original.

The worst ever cover that I have ever heard is a version of Sinatra's "Strangers in the Night" by Swedish performer Ricci. Ricci was quite unable to sing, and the synth-pop muzak which accompanied him sounded like it was performed on a Casio calculator. Quite execrable. And I'm being kind.

Oh George. How I've misssed you.

Uh, Butterflies by Ace Young last year on American Idol was unforgettable.

That's the Way Love Goes by N'Sync on the MTV Janet Jackson Icon Tribute was the BOOMMBB! HOTNESS.

Lean on Me originally by Bill Withers made over with a Reggae Flair in the 80's was the ish.

Nothing Compares to You written by Prince and done by that crazy lady Sinead O'Conner was fabulousness.

I can go on. The worst.... uh... that would be Tainted Love by most people who try it. It's tolerable but they never compare to the shocking brilliance of the original.

The Cardigans did a cover of Iron Man from Ozzy. It is interesting. I like it. A different take on the song completely.

"Ooh, Baby, Baby" ~ Linda Ronstadt (from Smokey!)
"Signed, Sealed, Delivered" ~ Peter Frampton (from Stevie!)
"Bang A Gong" ~ Power Station (from T. Rex!)
"D'yer Ma'ker" ~ Sheryl Crow (from the Zeppelin!)
"Little Queenie" ~ the Rolling Stones (from Chuck!)

>>>remember them? I thought they were done quite justly.

Worst: "Pinball Wizard" ~ Rod Stewart (from the Who!)
^^^^ thing is, I'm like this HUGE fan of Rod (before he
la-la'd into his lounge sound, right around 1990-on).

Willie Nelsons cover of 'Blue Skies' is great.

The worst cover i've heard of is probably... Jorden and Andres 'a whole new world' nearly made me want to vomit blood.
