The can is coated in a thin coating of laminate, under which is is tin plated steel. The label has a thin coating of laminate on paper. Please help!

3m makes aerosol adhesive works really good. gat it at home depot

I recently glued shiney ribbon to an aluminum tin, I used a very tacky craft glue. I also tried hot glue that worked well. Maybe those would work? I would go to a craft store and ask what the best adhesive would be. There are all sorts! Perhaps a spray type adhesive would be best for you as you don't want any lumps and bumps on your label? 3M makes a good spray type adhesive.
