Its a BISF home - British Iron Steel Foundation - mostly built in the 40's and 50's as cheap post war housing but used concrete and metal panels - so not a traditional construction. Some lenders wont touch them but the one with HOWARD on the adverts will. Must be aware though that the resale value of theses homes is generally less than the market average due to their construction

Now lets see - why might you be denied a Mortgage ?

Perhaps it's due to your Low Credit Rating, Low Income, Low Deposit / high LTV, High existing debts, Unemployed, Bankrupt, ... the list is endless ..

Essentially it is because the lender does not believe you will pay back the loan (and repossessing the property won't cover the loan cost either)
