no it is not wrong. personally, i dont like the pistons either.
1) i agree with you on the lakers one. karl malone def. deserved a title that year.
2) i wouldnt consider their victories over the cavs fully luck. they were toying with the cavs and they were lucky that they were playing against lebron, a major choke artist.
3) yes they do look down on the other east teams. frankly they are the only team in the east that can hang w/ teams in the west and for that, they don't play seriously cuz the east is a joke.
4) i've also noticed sheed's gaping hole in the back of his head. thats been buggin me as much as shawn marion's horrible shooting form.
frankly, i've never liked the pistons. especially the "bad boy" era w/ isaiah, dumars, and the most hated bill laimbeer.

Wow, I am amazed at some of these answers...
1). The Lakers deserved to lose with that lineup: Malone, Payton, Grant, et. A team of "has beens" errr... veterans bought for a season. To me that isn't "earning" a ring. The only game they won was an overtime win... otherwise "your" Lakers would have been swept!!!
Malone was a victim (as was Barkley, KJ, Stockton, Payton and Kemp, et., et.), of #23. Need I say more?
2.) You should hate Detroit for allowing the Cavs to stay in the game till the end. Lebron James is still young and will have his chance in a few years. He didn't choke.
3.) They have earned a right to "look down" (if they even do) on the Eastern Conference... FIVE STRAIGHT Eastern Conference Finals, a Championship, and three of four Finals sez so. (yeah they'll beat the Cavs this year)
4.) For all I know about Sheed's head is it is a birthmark and your humor or ignorance or both is weak.
Survey sez, "Yes, it is wrong BUT we expect nothing more from Laker Homer who would attempt to claim Malone as one of their own... HE WAS and ALWAYS will be a JAZZ!!!"
P.S. - Much love to MJ (#23) and all the rings he kept off undeserving fingers!!!

LOL, you dislike them for those reasons LOL, that's all I can say.
1) Lakers argued with each other that series, Shaq whined about its my team, Kobe wouldn't shoot, No one guarded Billups, Sheed stuck a dagger in them, and Payton is way over the hill. (But they all can kick my *** in ball.)
2) Cavs are over-hyped, Eastern conference isn't like it use to be, they a decent team, but just a few years away from being a Eastern Conference Champion.
3) You can't get up and stay focused in the east, with almost every team in the .500 range, you lose focus easily.
4) And that patch is a birthmark, like the red one you have on your body somewhere, yeah he whines, and complains, but damn what player don't? He's a better player now, and a champion.
P.S.) I'm a bulls fan, I've disliked the Pistons since they walked off the floor when Jordan finally beat them, but if it wasn't for a certain bad boy, Chicago wouldn't have the 3 extra rings, for that I thank the pistons.

1) Beat your Lakers when they had Shaq, Kobe, Malone and Payton...that's good reason to hate. Probably the reason for Shaq and Kobe's break-up.
2) Should have lost both games with a Donyell 3-pointer and a foul call on Rip Hamilton...but this is no reason to hate. I thought you were a Lakers fan?
3) They do look down on all other Eastern Conferance teams but that's because they are superior...by far the best in the East and deservingly so...not a good reason to hate.
4) Rasheed does need to do something about that hole on his head but then he wouldn't be the Rasheed we love to hate...not a good reason to hate.

There is nothing wrong with that. Especially if you are rooting for the other teams they are opposed to. But I am just itching to answer the arguments you have raised:
1. Beat the Lakers fair and square. You wouldn't hear Shaq mumbling anything to that since it was his and Kobe's doing that the Lakers LOST that series. The internal problems that the two had are so great that other players morale were affected seeing their superstars' bickering.
2. Call it luck, but Cleveland DID lost. Period.
3. I agree to the other's answer that they looked down on teams because they are very confident about themselves that they'll win every crucial games their in. That is what familiarity brings. Confidence.
4. Hehe. I have noticed it too and bugs me whatever happened to that but maybe that's his style. Since we are given a right to hate the Pistons let him have a right to keep his style.

hate them or love them..but they have been the best in the east the past 5 years or so...
by the way.. hating them because they denied malone for me is pathetic..would you expect any professional basketball player to just lie down and give the other team win it because a legend "supposedly" should have a ring? even if they did, malone wouldn't appreciate it after working like a horse for more than a decade? winning championship isn't based on who should win it because they are a legend.. its who was the best team that year.. and obviuosly, the lakers weren't the best team in 2004

Its nto wrong for you to hate them. I hate the SPURs because
they are Dirty. Pistons got away with a foul at the end of
this last game so you a good reason to hate them.
But I will take Rasheed and his patch of missing hair
over Kobe any day. He plays to win Titles, not to score.
He got out of Portland and they went down hill.
Kobe got Shaq out of LA and they went down hill.
So I'll take Rasheed and is missing hair. You keep Kobe
and his 81. Like Kobe said Shaq pays off his women,
but I thought he settled the Civil rape suite by paying off
Kate Faber ... so I guess Kobe pays for his women to
be quiet. What a jerk. Jim Buss hopefully will trade
the ballhog that is not the next MJ.

its wrong to hate period. obviously you're a geographic basketball fan, not a fan of the game itself.
* the 2004 championship was masterfully done, (David vs. Goliath)
* i'd rather be lucky than good.
* first time i've read about the Pistons looking down on any team, never heard of it. those guys in Detroit are a confident bunch, not arrogant.
* appearance in basketball is mundane, Sheed is Sheed, he's a baller, he's got heart and he knows how to win.

its like me hating the Jazz for beating the warriors
and the fans over there Booing and saying Warriors suck few mins before losing the series.
and hating the spurs for being boring
and having a ugly flopper
and a emotionless PF
and a dirty player who hurts other and gets away with it
i also hated piston..because of Larry Brown
but it seems like you hate Rasheed...period
Rasheed is the guy that talks/Looks down on other team
Pumps himself and his team up with Ts
had career high on blocks and a critical shot to win those games
he likes to taunt on oppsing team Fans so your not alone in hating him
