It all depends on the guy. Some guys like to make the first move, sometimes to be in control, or because of their perceived gender roles, or for some other reason. Other guys want the girl to go first, which could be because of shyness, wanting to make sure the girl is comfortable with it, or something else. Each male is different, so you should try to find out what the individual man wants, by either being discreet or not. It's about your preference just as much as his.

I would imagine that it depends on the guy. Though I have to say, I don't really like it when a guy is "against" the girl making the first move. But most (not all) of the guys I've talked to love it when the girl takes the initiative.

Yes and No. I know that really is not the answer you were looking for, however guys are just as shy as girls, however it is in out natural instinct as human to hunt and chase after someone. So yes we like it when girls make the first move but we also like making the first move. What we do not like is the rejection

It makes it a lot easier for guys. Also, I don't think any guy would refuse if offered the first move.

Personally, that is what I prefer. If a woman makes the first move, that means that they are ready for whatever we were going to do. As for me, I'm almost always ready, so I have to use her judgment.

The shy ones do!
Sometimes its hard to make the first move when your a guy, for fear of rejection. Guys don't usually take rejection too well.
It would be nice once in a while to be approached instead of doing the approaching!

I'm old fashioned. I like to make the first move. I also like to make her wait to the third date for the first kiss.
But I do respect a girl who has the guts to make the first move.
