What you have is a choice. You can either a) give up, and then the best option is indeed suicide, or b) stand up and give it your all. This whole sitting around contemplating your failure bullsh*t won't get anyone anywhere.
You say that your life is meaningless, and you want to change it. To do this you have to ask yourself: what is a life of meaning? What would your life have to consist of for you to consider it meaningful? Once you have your answer, make it happen. If you run into hurdles, which you unquestionbly will, do whatever it takes to climb over them. You may fail, as you have in the past, but as a man much wiser than I once said, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again."
Besides, as long as you're going to be alive anyway, what else do you have to do? If you have nothing, then you have nothing to lose.

To be honest, my life isn't worth much at this time either. I just deal with it though. I want to be a singer which might be even bigger than your goals (since you said that they aren't very big) and sometimes I think I'll make it, other times I think where to even start.
When I get serious with it though, I will contact a former music teacher to see if I could come to his studio and record a demo or something.
Good luck in whatever you do - I'm sorry you had a bad time in Thailand, but was the weather nice? I bet it was.
Goodbye.

No, you don't want to die, otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question.
Now that you've acknowledged that you want to live, start by not trying to fix everything at once.
First thing--let go of the past. Forget what "was", don't worry about "will be". Focus on NOW.
You want to go to Japan, look into teaching English there. The pay is not great, but you will be there, and it's possible to live cheaply if you have a little discipline.

The fact that you were saved after attempted suicide means that you have still a great purpose of living. Do not be in a hurry to achieve your goals everything has a time just be focused, patient and study and work harder. When fail comes in along your way do not be dispair get up and resume your focus, patience and harder drive. I know you will be rewarded with the good things you have invested. Good luck!

break your goals down into bite sized morsels - that way they are not as intimidating, and accomplish one thing everyday that moves you toward a goal.
Also, realize that you dont have to do EVERYTHING today - Japan will still be there in a decade or so.
Really.

It sounds like you are clinically depressed. You need to go to a counselor (really, really!) to get some help - to get you out of this. If they give you medication, take it like it says.
