I had a teacher years ago (I'm 43!) that still stands out to me.
She talked to us as people, not "those kids." She had an attitude that made no one affraid to approach her with questions because she did not ridicule anyone. At least not in front of other students. We respected that and returned that respect in her classroom.

Whatever be the subject,the teacher should know how interestingly he can present it to the students is more important.The presentation skill is the basic qualification for a teacher.

interact with them and keep your authority but also be a friend and care. a lot of students warm up to that. Some of my professors who are like that I would walk through fire for them.
