True there are a few men bashers here, but there are female bashers as well. Unfortunately that's the way life works, there's always going to be someone rearing their ugly head and getting their fun out of being an annoying idiot. They're just in it for the reaction.

Well, not all of us are man bashers. I see a lot of sensitivity and thoughfulness in many of the men, and enjoy seeing that side in their writing. We all have this inner self that is the child, or fragile, and whether we are male or female, we should respect that often our feelings are vulnerable to others that are unkind, rude are cutting. Some people just have poor karma, or like many today in our society, they have to blame somebody else. The victim,.......you know, you've heard and you have seen them.

It's hard to be civil when some of the questions and answers are so offensive. At first, I thought the religious and spirituality area was vicious, but now I go to the culture and groups areas to see how racist and homophobic people are, and don't feel as bad about how woman-hating the women's studies area can be. Even if a question sounds ignorant in the women's studies area, most men and women will try to educate the person, but since a few people post simply awful questions over and over again, just to be nasty, it's hard not to get cynical and assume all ignorant questions are just trolls or clones yanking feminist's chains.

It's also difficult to see young people ask good questions about gender studies and not say anything when the trolls attack them for asking a question. Worse, I've seen trolls say anti-women remarks to good questions, quote statistics from anti-feminist web sites, or just simply lie and give inaccurate information about complex topics.

It can cause even the most even-tempered people to blow a gasket once in a while! FYI: It's not accurate to say that "many" people are male bashing; it's a few. Many of us have very different definitions of feminism and what constitutes male or female "bashing" as well.

There are lots of woman bashers here as well. This site has a special attraction to people in search of evidence that they are being persecuted.

Many questions asked here INVITE bigotted answers. Like "Why is it acceptable to hit men in the groin?", or something in that vein. A question like that, a dozen people will give a literal answer, another dozen will dispute the assumption that it's acceptable in the first place, another dozen will say it's unacceptable to hit period, and then another dozen (of twelve-year-olds or their mental equivalents) will crack jokes about hitting men in the groin. Then another bunch of twelve-year-olds and their mental equivalents will ignore all sane answers and focus on that last group as "evidence" that all "feminists" (which is everybody but the most subservient housewives) hit men in the groin for recreation, and the streets of the city are just crawling with males -- from postal delivery men to Wall Street brokers -- doubled over in pain and holding on to their nether regions.

Also, many questions asked here -- including the example above -- are so "duh" that they invite not only bigotry, but sarcasm. It's like asking "Do you think it's normal to cut off people's heads?" Yes, cutting off people's heads is cool, you retard, and should be encouraged. OR "No, it's not normal to cut off people's heads, but cutting off their arms and legs is okay by me." Then the above-referenced twelve-year-olds and their mental equivalents goes into a hissing fit. Waaaah, Redisca says it's okay to cut people up, the byatch! Thumb her down! Write a stupid rant bemoaning how feminists cut off people's heads, arms, and legs, and the streets of the city are literally crawling with males -- from postal delivery men to Wall Street brokers -- doubled-over in pain and holding on to their nether regions, while missing their heads, arms, and legs.

(Disclaimer for the above-mentioned twelve-year-olds and their mental equivalents: I do not practice, advocate, excuse, or support decapitation or mutilation. The references I've made to them were made in jest.)

I don't know.
I am a man.
And I like women much more than I do men.
Always have.
I am reeling from the pounding I have taken from many of the shrewish shrieking man-bashers on this board. Whew!!
Thankfully I see a number of warm and understanding people to.

Were You answering Your own question, or making an observation about Yourself?
Feeling just a wee bit thanatophobic with regards Your lifestyle, are We? A little taste of misandry and You forget about all the misogyny in the world. Such a good lesson wasted.
The "man bashers", as You so rudely referred to them, are in reality, a minority in this section. The average user is a decent, moral and ethical, thinking person who chooses to share Their views and experiences with others. Not really all that threatening, is it? Or is it?

because it is a free site to take your anger out on others, while not getting hurt or reaping consequences... it is also a place where many people will read what you have to say rather than in reality where you can only bicker to one or a group of people that may not even let you finish and disrupt your rant with a welcoming punch to your noggin.

Um. I don't have a clue why you're asking this question when there are quite plainly about four woman-bashers for every man-basher on this forum.

there are a lot of man bashers out there because they have been through some bad times with guys. like all of us....they have loved and they have lost. they think that all men think with their dikies. and yes there is some truth to that. men are very sexual beings. we see something attractive and we want it. but that doesnt make us bad. it makes us male. if girls did not want us to be horny for them they would not wear the sexy clothes that they do.
