It seems like ppl are scared to show their true selves or something b/c no one seems to have a pic of themselves. I don't know .. but I'm just wondering.

Well most of us probably aren't prizes...if you get what I'm saying. I know I'm not. It's easier just to have avatars, besides it's yahoo answers, not a dating website. We don't need to show our real selves.
Besides...you can just as easily get a REAL pic and say it's you when it could be one of your friends that doesn't get online...How do I even know that's you? Like it said before...this is online...you're talking to a person that you don't know...and probably will never know...who cares what sex/age they are as long as they give good advice and are friendly?

I have a picture of myself. But I think that a lot of people don't want to be reconized over the internet until they are sure of the person they are sending it to. That's called "PLAYING IT SAFE". And in most cases, I think it is a good idea. In my case, I am 63 years old. I am happily married. I don't play games with peoples minds and so I don't care that they see who I am. I would love to run into an em pal on the street and have them know who I was.

I worked hard on my cute little avatar.
And I'm linked to my 360 page... so if people are REALLY interested they can follow the link and see real pics, and blah, blah, blah?
Answers are just fun stuff...so I keep it simple and fun.

i like using the avatars, but anyway um i don't know how to put my real pics, at the same time people on here are soooooo judgmental, but my avatar is my alternate self ( not personality but self, virtual me)

Some people are too ashamed of their face or they're hiding their true gender. I can prove I'm me by taking request snapshots.
