Couples get married for the wrong reasons. Many think it will be fun to get married and play house and have a baby or three....Stupid thinking! It doesn't work that way. In today's world you need to have money saved, plans for the future. If an emergency occurs, you'll need cash on hand.

Look how many young couples bought houses with a balloon payment due in 2 or three years. And now they cant afford to pay it. They are loosing their houses and cars. They are also loosing their jobs. This was never going to happen to them!
These events can drive a wedge between couples who have a fantasy about love and marriage.
When things get tough most couples run for the hills (family) or one of the partners moves out or just disappears.
Lack of money and freedom issues, seem to be at the top of the problem list.
Couples will say things like:
"I thought this was going to be fun. Now my husband doesn't come home until late and wants his dinner on the table and the house cleaned up. And I'm home all day with the screaming kids with no relief in site, day in and day out.
I don't know this guy that I married anymore and he feels the same way about me. We fight all the time. We don't have any fun anymore and we can't afford time alone with each other.
I guess we didn't realize how much work it was going to be?"

My suggestion.....before you partake in matrimony, make mutual plans and do a lot of talking about what you think marriage is all about. Roll play doesn't hurt a bit.
Immediately start a mutual savings requiring both signatures for withdrawal!

if you count the single mother there are just as many single fathers...i believe marriage dont work out because people are unfaithful, lack of communication, loss of the desire to make the relationship worth keeping...when a marriage is in trouble..it takes a lot to get it back to the state of happiness....sometimes people just dont want to take the time to make it work.....so they give up......if we would take the time to figure out what the problem is and fix it i think there would be more marriages staying together.....

Because guys need more than one woman, they are hunters, once they get their prey, they move on to another fresh hunting ground. Also women now work daily, then come home to hungry people, after doing the dishes, they might have time to wash their faces before bed,There is not much time to take care of the snake thats always in need!

I think because women have changed, were more independent, and dont have to rely on men for security anymore like it used to be, i think times are just changing, hopefully we can take this new found freedom that women have and we can build succesful marriages, I think theres men out there who are willing to accept this as well.

it's not about marriage it's what happens BEFORE marriage. Stupid girl sleeps with irresponsible guy. Guy leaves like the jerk he is. Stupid girl has kid instead of alternatives. end of story
