Can you imagine being Charles and having to tell your sons that their mother has died? I know it's been 10 years since the accident. If you had been the boys, would you have cried on the spot or just been in shock?

I'm just curious because recently, I remember reading the sunday paper of 1997 (we've saved it all this time), and that boys were awakened in the early hours of the morning at balmoral.

Yes, if I were the boys I would of cried on the spot. And would not want to stop. They had to stop,(that's what makes their situation a bit different. Harder.) That long walk was probably the longest walk they ever had or ever will have to walk. Holding their pain the way they did. I cried lots for them.
Lets just count our blessings!!

Diana wouldn't have had a reason to be in Paris with another man if Charles had been a good, loving and faithful husband to her and more involved in his sons' lives. Remember when William was rushed to the hospital and Charles didn't bother to show up? Ironic that Charles, the source of their Mother's troubles broke the news to her sons and of course they cried. What children wouldn't?

My mother died in a car accident 1 yr before Diana almost to the day, Although I was a bit older than her sons, I can imagine because it happened to me! By the way my daughters' nickname is Whippersanpper! i usually call her Whipper for short.

I don't know how the boys reacted. I know that I generally react with shock, whenever anything so awful happens like that. Takes me days, sometimes weeks, to finally cry.
Big knot in my tummy, and I can't eat more than a few bites at a time, for days and days, too.

While her death was quite tragic, she is not the only woman who has died and left young children. Why would you ask this after so many years have passed since her death?

no offense but that happens to regular people every day, so its a shock to any one who loses a mother, sister, daughter etc... and yes it must have been sad

I would have beat the snot of the dad for treating their mother the way he did otherwise she would not have been dating another and gotten killed.
