I read and responded to numerous questions about why doesn't the government do this or that.. And there is always some remark about needing a new president.
Does anyone know how our government works??
The Legislative Branch makes the laws. The Executive Branch enforces the laws. The Judicial Branch intreprets the laws.
The Republican President does not make the laws. The majority Democratic Congress does...

He has the power of Veto, so he is kind of the Decider. He decides to sign into law what CONGRESS says should be a law.

Every member of the Military knows that they will be called upon to defend our nation against all enemies foreign and domestic.. ( I know, I used to be in the Military, under Bush 41)... IT is a war, death happens in war, Sorry.

Every President, lobbyist, or Joe-Smo with enough money to woo a Congressman has some say-so in the laws that Congress makes....

Hey Arnie, did you read my post. I stated the duties of the branches exactly as you quoted them from the Constitution. I know the Constitution, I was in the Navy for six years and sworn to uphold and defend it.

I get the impression that the people who do this are:
A. Too lazy to find out the real cause(s) of the problem are.
B. Just following the rest of the crowd.
C. Ignorant enough to actually believe what they are saying.
D. All of the above.
Incidentally, here is the craziest "Bush Bashing" I have heard.
One of the DJ's on the morning show I listen to is a self admitted democrat. Earlier this spring he was doing the baseball score from the previous night. He is a native Minnesotan and lifetime Twins fan so first, you have to understand that he would hate anything good done by a White Sox player. Turns out that the previous evening, Mark Beurle, of the White Sox, had thrown a no-hitter. In typical liberal fashion, he quickly pointed out that, since it was done against Bush's former team the Rangers, that it was Bush's fault for not having good enough guys on the team. To be honest, I think he was kidding, not 100% sure though.

He is too partisan. He hired too many people from the Project for a New American Century. He uses catchy slogans and mottos to dupe the apathetic public. He said that pacifists and other people against the war in Iraq were not supporting the troops, even though he sent them to risk their lives. His defict spending is out of control. He lost a significant amount of American soft power. He had the Congress (Republican for most of his terms) do whatever he wanted. He abused his power with the wire tapping programs. He made FEMA ineffective by incorporating it into a larger, bloated bureaucracy. He is going to leave America in worse shape than he got it.

well... yes and no... you are correct... but people often haven't been complaining about the laws a lot... they often complain about our actions in the war right now...

a war that our president pushed with questionable intel...

and our president does a lot with his cabinet and has his hands in many jars... and dictates many of the actions the government takes, to one degree or another...

it's quite a bit more complicated than you lay out... and the fact that few, that are complaining about Bush, are complaining about the actual laws, from what I see... says a lot...

and also... does the president sign the laws? does he have to approve them? is that some responsibility for them? do presidents ever push legislation?

and do Republicans ever listen to what the president says? his "immigration plan" he's been pushing for years? a lot like the current one... that he says he will sign? why would he say that? hmm?

I feel you brother!
It is media driven. The Media is in bed with the Liberals because most of the media are Liberal.
The Liberals are in bed with the Moveon.org crowd and the Moveon.org crowd are so left they could be considered
Socialists/Communists.
"THE Liberal Plan" is to attack issues and attack the President even though they can offer no better plan or policy than what is in place.
Do not worry much. The Liberals led by Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, and Kennedy are very close to insuring a nasty loss in the next elections. They have manufactured a mandate and are totally ignoring the will of the people. You reap what you sow, and they are sowing destruction.

He's not really to blame for everything as he's not intelligent enough to be.
he's a Yale 'Skull and Bones' puppet for the Illuminati plan for New World Order - their plan for world domination (as was Kerry incidently)

Other branches of US Federal Gov are also bought and paid for by them too!

Since he is the Boss.
While the blind were just following the blind with herd mentality.
If they were good.
Then they be the boss.
But look at the mess out there.
with never ending problems with no solution in sight.
Just beating tin cans with all the noises out there.
While others trying to get the work done.
In solving the misery of living human kind.

People blame the president because he's the "Figurehead" of the government. That's the simple answer.

You can go much deeper in psychology if you want and you'll find that people need to have some one person they can assign either blame or credit for the things that effect their lives.

Nobody like the idea of something "just happening" to them, so they instinctively need to find someone who's responsible. Since the president is the "Figurative" leader of our country, he's the easiest person to blame/praise for the things that happen here.

No matter what Bush does, the democrats will find fault with him. When gas prices were high, it was Bush's fault. When they came down, did Bush get any credit? Hell no! They couldn't stand seeing him elected to a second term. They don't even admit he was elected. They say there was fraud. A bunch of fruitcakes.
