and they don't know the other one is doing her. That's their business but why do these people act as though everyone does it and its ok? That is what bothers me. I am sick of them trying to justify their behavior. Has anyone been through this-knowing someone who cheats or screws around with a married person but acts as though it is justified instead of just a little bit resentful? I am sure the only way they would be sorry if they got caught. It just makes me feel awkward.

These first two answers are typical- a person who has cheated, been cheated on, or is screwing a married person will say that everyone cheats to justify their's or their spouse's behavior. I try to mind my own business-why can't they not discuss their guilty opinions in front of me? That is all I ask.

Your comfort is your choice. Let them know that you really don't want to hear or discuss their personal life choices and move away from them when they forget your wishes.
Morals is what you have and they do not. Don't surround yourself with these people. I had the same problem and was considered a goody-two-shoe when I finally pointed out that their act was considered adultery as the 'other woman' in front of a group of people. Needless to say, I was not made privy to any more stories of their looking for someone to sympathize with their doings.

Well it probably feels weird to work there. They spend their time trying to justify their actions and you know what they are doing is pretty bad. Just stay above the fray because sometime soon, it'll catch up to one or all of them and you don't want to get caught up in that.

I think u are correct.... They will not feel bad until they are caught..... It's sad but people do strange things.... Good luck with your situation. Seems like you are the only one in the group with your head straight.

I don't blame you for feeling awkward, beside the fact that it is morally wrong...um they are married right????....any way...this shouldn't be happening at WORK.... if you feel that it is affecting your work...contact a senior member of management....goes... You can't make people do what is right ...but you can do what is necessary to let them know it won't be tolerated at work.

"but why do these people act as though everyone does it and its ok? " If it bothers you so much why don't you ask THEM?

All men cheat.. It is unrealist to say that a man who has been married for years will never cheat ... they all do ... it might be an hour down the road and you'll never know ... you have to ignor it ..
