Why is our government is trying to add illegal aliens to Social Security rollls when the system is broke?

This isn't a partisan, white, black, Democrat, or Republican question. Making the current 12 million illegal aliens eligible for Social Security, Medicare and other government programs will do nothing more than make them go bankrupt even faster than the 25 years that politicians say they have left. So why are they willing to sacrifice our financial well being? Is it so the new citizens will vote for them? Maybe to help big business? It has to be something like that, whether for campaign cash or new voters. I thought maybe someone could help me out with this question because it does not make sense to me.

You said it all....it's for votes, big biz, cheap pay, and money, money, money!....can you believe that they won't even have to have physicals, or have background checks before getting the new Z card....those who are known terrorists can't be discriminated against, and those who are in jail for crime will not have to be deported, and may have to be let out?..CRAZY DAYS AHEAD! That's not a question really, is it? But I do thoroughly agree with you. Illegal aliens should simply be thrown out of the country. For every NYTimes "torn from mother's breast" article there are 10,000 illegals being given legal assistance. For free. By us. Entitlement to public money is an outrage.

Because they are mostly young and will be paying social security taxes for the next 30 years to support the retirement of the baby boomers. The government has spent the trust fund that was supposed to pay for them so income taxes will have to be increased to replenish the fund within a few years. By the time our new citizens retire and collect benefits the politicians will no longer be in office so it won't be their problem.

Social Security IS NOT WELFARE. Those who are enrolled are paying their share, despite those in Congress who have hi-jacked the program and are using it as just another tax. The more people we have paying into Social Security, the more solvent it becomes, many of the sundown predictions are based on those opting to invest otherwise (selfishly and shortsightedly). If these immigrants don't pay into the system where do you think the money comes from to pay their bills?

Because he wants Mexico's oil. Their main field is drying up but they have huge reserves deep in the Gulf that they haven't the technology or experience to exploit. We do. Currently they don't allow foreign investment in their oil production. It is part of the spp.gov plan, to move to 'free movement of goods and low risk traffic' and also to move to joint exploitation of natural resources.

We, our schools, and our retirement funds are all things it costs HIM nothing to give away.

And they are low income and will take more in services than they pay in taxes even while working. When they retire, they will be a huge drain above anything they were able to put in.

they dont care care about the system...they care about themselves...its obvious...its just another way of collecting more and more money from the poor and then when it comes time to collect from it...the system will be broke.
