When one is young, beautifull and healthy, has enough to eat, has a job etc..., than everything is allright...But when one is alone, disabled, ignored...than life becomes hell and one suffers, yet one has no possibility what-so-ever to make a change...

I believe it is all up to you whether you choose to be selfish or kind. It is a matter of choice. We all need each other in order for us to survive whether it be family or friends or outside support. We all need to work as a team on this planet and by giving to others you can only receive good back. I don't believe we are ever alone although we all may leave this planet alone have no expectation of others and you will have no dissappointment. All persons can make a change if they so choose its your choice. We are very fortunate to have many services out their if only humans would reach out.

I've noticed that people who are fu*ked up get a lot more positive attention and help than those who are "young, beautiful, and healthy" in terms of society at large. Someone who is 21 and is massively overweight (for example), somewhat slow of mind, and has diabetes and a bad skin condition is much more likely to get assistance from charity or the government than a 21-year-old slim intelligent person who has good taste in clothing.

Hopefully we learn from our experiences and become a little less selfish after putting ourselves in a position of needing others help.

alone disabled and ignored is not necessarily a bad thing
neither is old
why not enjoy all the stages of your life
from moment to moment
instead of wishing things were different than they are?

Now this is true, I find. People do not want to give much help to people who can't or do not help themselves. People will sometimes give a little help. All this is necessary because it keeps people from being lazy and content.

I think there are more people out there looking to help others, than those that need help. There's a bunch of martyrs out there that never ask for help, never call you for help, but are always there for you and others. I love and hate those people.
