well, this is actually how you do it; it's how i got my mew

pay attention to http://www.pokemon.com - they will tell you when there is an event. (from what i understand, there will be NO MORE events for fire/leaf, ruby/sapphire, emerald, because there are newer games)

what an event means is that nintendo people actually go to a place, and you go there too

so then you make sure mystery gift is activated, and you swipe your game over a machine that a nintendo person holds called a HOTSPOT - that is how you get tickets. read my source for more info

also, you can mix records with someone that has the ticket you desire

u have to mix records with a person who has ruby or saphire
