The video is somewhat grainy, but it shows several hooded men standing behind Daniel, who is seated in front of them on the floor. One of the men is reading out loud, and at one point, they all turn on Daniel while yelling loudly, and then they begin holding him down. One of the men begins cutting Daniel's head off, and Daniel lets out some blood curdling screams, until they finally (and mercifully) subside.

In my opinion, the visual on this video is tame compared to the sound of Daniel screaming.

I couldn't watch it, even though it's easy to see if you want to. Those kind of events are incredibly disgusting and sad. Imagine being innocent and going to a foreign country to work, or so you thought, instead you get kidnapped and beheaded.

Thousands of people are exchange students and temporary expat contract workers. None of them expect to get kidnapped and decapitated.

Daniel Pearl was a journalist, just like many journalist such as Christine Amanpour who go to dangerous places to cover events. It's a very sad and disgusting fact of our state of the world that these kinds of things happen to innocent people who really don't deserve it

From the answers that I read above, the released video had the desired effect.

What you have to ask yourself is why is the government leaving it where it can be seen?

If you think this government is above doing the same thing your wrong.

I don't think I could do that out of respect to his brave wife and his honour as a human. Everyone has their own opionion and reason for what they do, it is just not something I choose to have in my mind or the history of my actions.
