I doubt this will convince any of the far left lunatics that these radicals are hell bent on their ideology of hate and domination - after all, apparently the events of 9/11 didn't leave much of an impression on them.

Yes, we need to stop the madness of terrorism. We need to stop indiscriminate killing of innocent people throughout the world, BUT, the word terrorist is very subjective. A terrorist to one person is a 'freedom fighter' in the eyes of someone else. The palmach were terrorists when fighting against the British but members of the palmach become leaders of the Israeli government after Israel was formed in 1948. The Viet Minh were terrorists to the Japanese during WW-2 but they were assisted by the US (Office of Strategic Services-- the for-runner of the CIA) from 1944 until the end of the war. The Viet Minh were terrorists when fighting for their independence from France (1947-1954) when the US was assisting the French. These same Viet Minh later became ministers in the Vietnamese government. The "resistance" were terrorists during WW-2 in France and Italy when they fought against the Nazis, but we call them Heroes. The Americans who fought against the British during the War of Independence were terrorists, but they are considered Heroes by modern Americans and are celebrated as such.

The greatest terrorist organisation in the world in the last sixty years is the US government and its military. The US government has interfered in the internal affairs of numerous legitimate governments around the world, has installed right-wing dictators in numerous countries, has dabbled in the Drug Trade (the CIA connection to the Italian Mafia, the French Corsican Mafia and Asian Drug rings are well documented). The US government has also violated countless international agreements and treaties since 1944 starting with the Potsdam agreement on Korea and Germany partially leading to the Korean War. It has also violated the 1954 Geveva Agreements on Indochina leading to the 2nd Indochina War (Vietnam War) and many others too numerous to mention.

Get rid of the terrorist organisation at home before looking outside of the US.

Yes, that is madness and I agree it needs to be stopped. We should not condone torture from anycountry including our own. But I would like to remind you that our CIA has been known to conduct the same torture on people around the world. Also, Alan Dershewitz of Harvard University law school also advocates the use of torture by our intelligence and our military. I just thought you'd like to know that truth too so you can be just as outraged. You cannot appeal to a higher moral authority if you do not practice those very same higher morals yourself. It's called hypocrisy.

There's several books written about the subject:

Instead of stopping the madness, why not let the animals kill themselves off? If they don't have us, they will surely kill each other out of convenience, which they are trying to do in Iraq right now. Instead of stopping it, why not let them keep their weapons, tell them the other guy disagrees with their belief in the bloodline of their prophet, and let them go at it Gangs of New York style?
