He stands up for what is right, he is courageous, and he knows what is right for this country. Can anyone give me FACTS (not just assumptions) for why you do or dont like him?

This is to Peaceful...,
Its true, the border policy so far has been a failure, I will admitt to that, but I do believe a wall will be built soon and a plan devised to solve the problem. And I believe that job overseas is not a solely negative option, it has created jobs, money, helped businesses, etc. I support that.
And to say our economy has prospered SLIGHTLY is a drastic understament! Our economy is at an all time high! He is not perfect, the war was not handled perfectly, but the basis for being there is valid.

I don't like him and I'm conservative. My biggest complaint, and many hardcore conservatives as well, is that HE WON'T SECURE THE BORDER and he is pro-amnesty. How in the world can he lecture us about Iraq when our borders are fickle and rampant with chaos? If you could answer that, me and many of his base would like to know.
Next, the Cold War concept that we can just drench the world in Democracy is illogical. The Mideast proves that as it is impossible, proven by Iraq, to Westernize the Islamic world. Our troops are brilliant, but this is a failed policy.
He nearly appointed a liberal to the Supreme Court because she was his friend.
And he's sending our jobs oversees.
Crystal, clear facts. I could write more but those are the main ones.
I will admit the economy has slightly prospered under him and he's held strong to Christianity and moral values, but that is it.
If you can refute any of my statements, give it your best shot!

I only wish he would do something domestic and stop trying to fix the middle east. We have many problems that seem to be the small issues to our president. In the big picture he is shipping our problems abroad, and other countries have just as much need. Look at how accountable he is. The people that are profiting from a war are capitalist corporations and the people of Iraq are getting what is left after the bombs. Poor water, electricity for some of the day, and chaos that's what we have done for Iraq. There are some good points, but war is hell. I do like the president but he has lost his way after Afghanistan.

There is no evidence of your assumption that Bush is courageous. He may know what is right for this country, but he has not done what is right. Instead he has caused horrific damage.
So, you like this incompetent, war monger in spite of us now condoning torture for the first time since the policy against it was established by George Washington.
You like Bush even through he and his cronies lied to convince Congress that rushing to invade Iraq was necessary because "the smoking gun will turn into a mushroom cloud", and you know they knew there was no smoking gun.
You still like Bush even knowing that 90 of ours were killed already this month as a result of our invading Iraq unnecessarily. How many more will die during the rest of the month? I haven't seen a report on the number maimed. Who can even guess at the number of innocents, including children, that were killed and maimed in Iraq.
You like Bush because you don't mind giving up liberties and being spied on.
You like Bush in spite of his ignoring those trapped in New Orleans after the hurrican, and his incompetence in handling that crisis.
You like him in spite of his refusal to talk with our enemies--as if sticking his head in the sand is going to solve anything.
I cannot find anything to respect about him other than his title, and even that was not earned.
These facts are very easy to verify. Here's one from npr.org just today:
WASHINGTON - Intelligence analysts predicted, in secret papers circulated within the government before the Iraq invasion, that al-Qaida would see U.S. military action as an opportunity to increase its operations and that Iran would try to shape a post-Saddam Iraq.

I like George Bush. I respect him for taking a bunch of abuse from a bunch of people for a bunch of things that he did not or could not have controlled.
I think he has a heart of gold for this country.
That doesn't mean I agree with him on everything. I am less than thrilled about his immigration policies. I think he takes too much slack from the media. Tonight they made a big deal about him not wearing his seatbelt while driving around his ranch in his truck. I would kick them off my property.
But I will support this president because the Liberals cannot just scream and shout and get their way with our nation without a fight!

Get ready to rile some liberals with this one.
You might be in the minority - but you're on the right sidelines cheering for the right team.
The left just can't understand how a politician can be so committed and resolved in doing what he believes is right and necessary - despite the political pressures put on him.
He won't buy into their policy of defeat, and they can't understand why.

There's 3500 very good reasons inour military cemetaries. Because Bush would not listenand invaded a country that never attacked us.
Those are real people--not characters in a Rambo movie. Real deaths and real families suffering. For Bush's ego.

I do too. You are 100% correct. I shudder when I think of how close we came to having Al Gore as President on 9/11/01.
