A metrosexual is a high maintainance guy. He spends way too much time on primping, on choosing clothes, and on anything remotely related to how he looks. He typically uses a lot of cosmetics and can't stand having any body hair marring his perfect skin. His fixation on the details of his body leaves no time for developing character, intelligence, or any interest in anything else that's more than skin-deep. A few centuries ago these appearance-obsessed creatures were called "dandies" or "fops." "Metrosexual" is just the latest word for male vanity carried to extremes.

Metrosexual usually refers to a guy and is not related to any sexual preference or being "feminine" or gay for that matter. Todays men especially in urban cities (metropolitan areas) are now conscious of their own appearance and hygiene. They tend to dress well, take a bath often, get the latest haircut, get a massage in spa's and so on. Metrosexuality is more of a lifestyle.
Hollywood male actors are considered metrosexuals. Have you seen a famous male actor with bad teeth and does not look good in clothes? P Diddy is one example of a metrosexual. He dresses well, wears perfume and so on. He is too neat for the typical guy as they would say. Aside from that, the urban lifestyle demands that you look presentable and neat. I do not think you would go to an executive meeting and wear jeans or shirt like you are attending a college group meeting. You wear Armani, nice shoes, perfume, pedicured nails and so on.

A metrosexual is a heterosexual male who is in touch with his "feminine" side.
This includes, and is not limited to: hair, eyes, makeup, dressing, cooking, cleaning, and a multitude of other activities that are considered more feminine in nature.
They enjoy the finer sides of life, like theatre and art.
Basically, they have the same interests as the stereotypical homosexual male, but the difference lies in that they are heterosexual.

Metrosexual is code for "I'm gay but haven't come out of the closet yet". It has nothing to do with your "feminine side". You can be intouch with your feminine side without being a metrosexual.

It's a modern city dwelling man who gets his back, sak and crack waxed.... his eyebrows tinted and his nails manicured.
He is not necessarily gay, nor is he predominately straight. He dines out in the city in the evenings and drinks latte or double decaf with skinny milk.

Its just a guy that likess what girls like but is str8 u know he is basically a prep who knows how 2 dress well. think of a str8 (guy) hairstylist.
