So you have connected your modem and 3 computers together using a hub. With this configuration only one computer will beable to use the internet at any one time.
You can share the internet using what you have. But you will need one computer to have two ethernet ports.
This is how the connections would need to be like:
-Cable from wall to the broadband modem
-Ethernet cable from broadband modem to computer #1 ethernet port #1
-Computer #1 ethernet port #2 to Hub Ethernet Port
-Computer #2 ethernet port to Hub Ethernet Port
-Computer #3 ethernet port to Hub Ethernet Port
You will then need to turn on ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on computer #1 and set computer #2 and #3 to "Connect to Internet Through another computer"
Or you can go and purchase a router and plug the modem into the routers WAN port and the three computers into the routers ethernet ports, then configure the router to connect to your ISP and forget about it.

In Peer to Peer networking, you can get all your computers to connect to the internet by specifying a gateway address (this tells your other two computers that can't connect to the internet that they have to go through the "internet connected" computer to be able to get online). The computer that can connect to the internet will act as the gateway. That computer's IP address is the gateway address for the other two computers to get to the internet. You can use the ipconfig command to find out the "internet connected" computer's ip address. That address will be the gateway. Telling the other two computers that can't connect to the internet the gateway address is a matter of going into the Windows control panel(on both machines) and playing with the networking settings. Each version of Windows does it slightly differently.

Most consumer internet services only provide one IP address. Some companies limit it to a specific computer MAC address.
You can set up the primary to share it's internet connection (effectively acting as a router). That's a pain in the butt, and need to have multiple addresses on one network card, or two network cards, and it has to be on for the others to work.
The easiest way is to purchase a cable router which will present a single IP to the service provider, and allow multiple computers to be behind it with private IP addresses. It is also more secure for your computers, although you might need to do some port translations for software you might want to run.

Simple answer is because you can't. One PC will connect to the internet and the other two can share resources off the internet PC but are limited to your LAN.
If you want to connect three PCs to the internet you'll need to use a router.

You can pay for more IP addresses from your ISP. Several providers willl give you more then one address if your willing to pay. Each machine will then be assigned an IP when it comes on line.
Or set one up as a Gateway .
Or get a router instead of using the hub.

Buy a ethernet cable and buy the ethernet cable for connecting computer through a hub because cable comes in different type.
There's Rollover cable, straight-through cable etc. ask the manufacturer for more info.

You are using a hub, so you will need a crossover cable to connect the hub to the ethernet jack. Then, you can connect the computers to the hub using ethernet cables.

just get an ethernet cable and connect the two other computers to the hub, but first you must check if the other two computers has a LAN card, if they dont buy 2 LAN cards first

easiest way is to use a router
that is its purpose
you could do it with multiple network cards but it is lot of work and some hardware
get any router.
they are usually on sale at big box stores
linksys and dlink are the major brands
all routers are generally good.

You need a router. Linksys or D-link make good home routers. If your looking for something extra that will also block hackers better Sonicwall makes a good one. They are availible from $60 up to thousands.
