Specifically illegal Mexican immigrants…..Often Mexicans will use the argument that California, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico is rightful their land and it was stolen by the “mean ole” Americans. Technically, America was originally “owned” by the Native Americans and it was the Spaniards who conquered the South Western parts of North America and the majority of South America. In their defense, do you think that the process to become a U.S citizen is too difficult? What are your thoughts?

Also, what is the Mexican government doing about illegal immigration in the U.S?

The Mexican government encourages people to come here illegally. No the only right they have as far as I am concerned is to go home and help fix their own country. I know to some that meakes me a racists bigot homaphobe . Oh well....another thing is all the libs on here are always yelling about how Bush has caused all other countries to hate us so...you sure couldn't tell it by how many still want to get into America and become citizens. Or take our money. Seems like the more we give the more hated we are. All illigals found here should be given a canteen and a rifle and sent to the middle east lol that might make them think twice about illigally crossing the border.

No i don't think that they should have the right to protest. They are protesting the laws that they broke in coming here to be a illegal immigrant. I am pretty sure that Texas was lost to the United States in battle-so i guess it amounts to winner takes all. But that is neither here nor there.

The process of becoming an american citizen is difficult, it is suppose to be. It takes time, and money, and dedication, effort. you have to learn about the united states, you have to go through the paper work and finger prints and all that needs to happen to be a citizen.

No way do they have the right to protest! How would you feel if someone broke into your house, ate your food, but washed their dishes. You come home to find that they are still there. They tell you that because they did the dishes, the have the right to stay in your home even though they broke into your home to begin with. Would you agree with that?

Lets take it a bit further... Lets say that besides staying in your home, they want health insurance and for you to put their kids through school... It kind of sounds rediculous, doesn't it?

Sounds like a familiar scenario except instead of them breaking into one house, they are breaking into an entire country and want freebees from the government- only those freebies are costing the citizens BILLIONS. When is the government going to get a clue?

Im Mexican American and I think that there are alot of immigrant people who need help.. In the first place if Mexico would be a country of opportunities all those people would'nt want to leave their country... This problem starts with their government which need to focus and help their people my people...

As for the Us I think the citizenship process is complicated but at least their a chance to be legal in this country.. But their's a but for me because they are trying to help people who haven't started any paper process and who want to come to this country Now..What about the ones that are here????

Mexicans are a big population here and if every single one would leave this countries (US) economy would drop big time!!!!

There are lots and lots of people that have years waiting for a green card and still no sign and others that have less time in this country without paying income tax etc etc get there papers first and thats not fair. My family has been here 24 years and barely this year my mom recieved her green card... My brothers still waiting... Graduated here , going to college , paying taxes each year , working with permits and with legal social's n still nothing...Is it hard yes it is and what is The Mexican government doing Nothing!

Anyone in this country has the right to protest, we're not a police state. But their protests are for "rights" they did nothing to fight for, they just showed and demanded them. Cute isn't it? And yes, they do believe in the destiny of "Atzlan" or "reconquista". They want back all the land ceded to the US after the Mexican-American War. Well imagine if they got it back, then what? How is more real estate going to solve their corrupt, ignorant, peasant culture?

The corporations that rule the United States crushed working people in Mexico with NAFTA.

The immigration "problem" picked up shortly after NAFTA was passed

NAFTA has stagnated wages in the United States, creating a nation of rich and poor as our middle class crumbles, their jobs being exported by the millions

NAFTA has destroyed the standard of living in Mexico. People are literally starving to death, homeless...and these are people that hold jobs building American products.

As usual the right wingers never want to look up at who is really causing the problem...they'd rather look down and blame those suffering worse than them.

Multinational corporations that used their media to sell the lie of “free trade” created the immigration problem
(Slavery isn't free...everybody pays for slavery...dollars to souls)...
And they used their government to write the bad trade agreements
.... And the power of their government to make sure other countries accepted the unjust trade agreements

The American worker is falling farther and farther behind

The Mexican worker is just trying to stay alive

And the multinationals record profits from this misery they created

Blaming the Mexican people for this is an injustice of monumental proportions...and typical conservative politics

We must repeal NAFTA and other slave trade agreements....then the immigration problem will resolve itself without walls and prisons and racist conservatives happy to have new people to hate.

It's the corporations our anger should be directed at. They want us (working people), the victims, to be at each other’s throats while they keep getting away with massive profits from their poverty creating trade agreements.

"Do you think illegal immigrants have the right to protest?"

Absolutely - back in Mexico after they leave the United States.

Millions of dollars flowing back into Mexico from the illegal immigrants - what a great deal, no overhead and no manufacturing or exporting of goods - just an open border into the land of milk and honey.
I seriously doubt the Mexican government does anything but encourage this exodus.

Yes!! It's a golden opportunity!!! They should protest and the cops should be right there arresting they rumps. With buses to ship them right back to where they came from. When else is there such and opportunity to get them all in one spot at one time?? This can save a lot of time and money because we don't need to send ICE for them. Money because we can get a discount on shipping them all back at once.
They Mexican government doesn't want them there so they do nothing. They protest on streets if they did that in Mexico it would get them arrested. Their jails would be over crowded.

Illegal should have no right at all.The Mexican government will do nothing because the billions of dollars the Mexican send by home each year is that nation 2nd source of income with oil being #1 and tourism being #3.

No they do not.

Second what is the problem with picking them up? lets have a big protest with them and round them up and put them on a bus. Then drive them all home.

If you were Illegal in Mexico do you know how you would be treated?? Like crap. So send them back all of them.

I for one am tired of paying everytime they come here and drop a kid.
