yes we can vote but it's not going to help much. If by " puting GOD back in school" you mean replacing evolution teachings w/ creationism teachings, that's never going to happen. That would greatly impair our progress, as a country. You would be messing up our furure's ( students) minds by teaching them that god just threw us down here on earth. The theory simply doesn't make sence. In addition, United States is not christians'. People from all different religions pay taxes, contribute to the common good, and help U.S prospare. So, it would be a stupid move that is never going to take place in the United States that we know today
As for the our president being an unqualified person for his job, i agree with you on that one, but yet again, it is people like us who put him in the office. There is nothing in his mind but war. He has to strart taking care of other problems affecting our society. I mean, his intentions of getting rid of terrorism are great, but the problem is that he has no effective plan what so ever to do such a thing. As a commander in chief he is suffosed to know of such things, and he doesn't.

No. You see, God was never kicked out of public schools, children can pray and hold their own Bible study before school, during lunch/recess, and after school. It's only against the law for teachers to force kids to take part in a prayer.
There also is no correlation between the supposed increase in school violence and the 1960s Supreme Court decision that outlawed faculty-led prayer in schools, in case you are interested.
Nothinguse...? Are you against Women's Rights, Black Rights, Hispanic Rights and Gay Rights?
And Culture Warrior, the ACLU is not trying to make pedophilia legal.
Where do we get these people?

No, because not everyone believes in the concept of God that they would put back in the school system...especially since it would probably be a Christian God. And this country is to diverse for that. Why should schools be given the right to force religion on kids who were raised one way?

From the Desk of Rev. Jim:
Sorry bud, but the seperation of church and state FORBIDS IT.
Schools are funded by the government, therefore putting God in the schools is a no-no according to the First Amendment. The same Amendment that says you are free to practice your religion without government interference.
As far as this president, He is a very religious person. But he cannot push his views on others, any more than You can. Sorry.
The answer to improving schools is to re-instate corporal punishment (i.e. Paddling their butts.... for the religious types, it is called "not sparing the rod" ). Never had this much trouble when I was in school, cause knew I would get my butt burned.
May your God, by whatever name you call Him/Her, Bless You on this Day of Days.

NO WE DO NOT NEED GOD IN SCHOOL!!! If our founding fathers didn't want to favor any religion and didn't want it to be part of the government it was for a reason. A lot of people who came here did it for religious freedom. If we put god in our school system, then soon enough somebody is gonna wanna put the ten commandments into the law system. I can understand not killing anyone, but we dont need to go that far either. Honestly, religion is supposed to help you lead a better life, not a better country or school system.

I must have been mistaken, I thought your question was about God in school, specifically, but you went off on a tangent.
Exactly what do you wish to vote on? Teachers leading prayer in public schools for instance? Teaching creationism in school?
If the fact that your child can pray quietly to himself in school isn't good enough, then send him to a Christian school. Sorry, but I'm not in favor of making children in class, who are not Christian, uncomfortable by favoring one religion in our schools over another. They don't deserve to feel as though since they aren't Christian, they are second class citizens somehow. Of course you don't care about THOSE kids. Or possibly you have some twisted idea that if they hear about Christianity in public school that they can transcend the alternate religion their parents have chosen for them and somehow avoid the jaws of hell in the future. After all if they aren't Christian they are doomed, right?
If your child is taught about their religion at home and at church, why do they need reinforcement in public school? Don't they carry Christian values with them wherever they go? I'm sure you have taught them to respect other people's religious beliefs, right? Then they should understand that a public school is a patchwork of children from different religious leanings and respect that fact.

Please! this President wants God our society. It is the liberal Supreme Court Judges who do not want God in our society. Read the Constitution: Congress is to pass laws, not the Supreme Court. When the Supreme Court decides abortion is legal (if a death is caused, it is murder), they are not abiding by the Constitution. When the Supreme Court decides there are Women's Rights, Black Right, Hispanic Rights, Gay Rights, etc., they are going outside the Constitution. It is not a right unless it applies to everyone.
Yes, God should be back in our school system. If enough people will stand up, perhaps it will. But don't count on it. The Supreme Court is running this country on the side of extreme liberals.

I would be ok with them putting god back in the schools if they could actually prove that god existed.
Why do you think that, for 2000 years, there has been no proof?
If you were god and you wanted to people to have faith in you, wouldn't you raise your hand, do something that couldn't be anything else. Make a mini-universe, without the nasty affects of radiation or gravity, appear in our sky. He can do that right, because he's god?
If he/she wants people to choose for themselves, well, I am sorry, that's not anyone who deserves worship.
The reason there is no difinitive proof is because there is no god. It's just that simple.
I can sit there and wait for 2000 years for my house to move from one location to another under it's own power and still claim it can. It just hasn't yet
A return question for you, if they decided to put religion back in the schools, but decided that it should be Muslim, Budha or Hindu, would you be ok with that?
What if they decided to teach the god system that native american's believe, or the Mayans, are you still ok with that?

I think that the way this is going with the price of gas and the war in iraq, that we the people of the USA should be allowed to have this president to step down and put someone that can solve this crisis, the way i see it is that we the people elected our president then we can vote him out. and as for having GOD back in the schools is what every young people need in there live's

You're rambling and unfocused. God and government, together, were ruled out via a lil' thing called the constitution. If you want God, go pay for him with a private school, or handle it at home.
This president has no interest in the constitution, or any respect for any aspect of the American legal system, hence the disarray within our watchdog groups.
There's a Yale educated, Maine raised, twanging Texas oilman loser in the White House.
Who'd you vote for?
